SnapDragon has been recognised for encouraging women into STEM at the AccelerateHER Awards. The awards, which were held on International Women’s Day (8th March), and organised by Investing Women had over 190 entries across two categories, Ambition and Growth.
The AccelerateHER Awards are intended to inspire and support more female-led businesses to set up and go for growth, gain meaningful support, develop networks and to raise the exposure of entrant’s businesses. Winners from previous years have already netted major investments.
Investing Women, the AccelerateHER organisers, recognise that women are often under-represented in STEM industries (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) and created the STEM award category to acknowledge the success of women in STEM who are developing or running businesses in the sector. SnapDragon’s predominantly female team, led by founder Rachel Jones, represents 13 nationalities, speaking 19 languages.
